About Us
Carl Gunther began his company in 1948 building and remodeling large, formal and reproduction homes in Fairfield County CT. His son Fred continued the family tradition in 1975 with the founding of Gunther Homes Inc. where Fred's eye for architectural detail made him one of the most sought after designer/builders in the state. Gunther Homes celebrates a renaissance in 2021 with a refresh and relaunch of the storied company and the addition of Jeff White as partner to help restore the company to its former glory.

I am proud to continue growing Gunther Homes to offer our clients the same quality design and building that made us known throughout the state. I'm a creative thinker who prides myself on attention to detail no matter how big or small a project. I enjoy building and designing homes, additions, or total renovations in today's architectural trends, as well as in classic styles.
The family foundation of our business always extends to our clients. I relish getting to know people and past clients have become friends, triathlete training partners, race car driving teammates and adventure racers.
I live with my wife and two of our five children in the saltbox style home that I designed and built with my father in 1974. Friends and neighbors will often see me in the yard spending time with my family and the menagerie of rescue animals we have as pets.

I bring 30 years of business experience to Gunther Homes with expertise in project management, client service, strategic planning and marketing. I have a passion for getting it right and pride myself on going the extra mile to make my clients happy. I'm a strategic thinker who believes that every challenge has a solution and that the best solution might not always be the first one.
I don't sit still very often and when I'm not working you can often find me taking care of my sprawling .67 acre estate in Trumbull, CT. I love spending time with my wife, daughter and my rescue blue nose pit bull Jack as well as friends and extended family in the area. I also have a love/hate relationship with the game of golf.
Oh, and I'm not just a partner of Gunther Homes, I'm a proud owner of a Gunther Home for over 13 years and can attest to the quality and craftsmanship that goes into every Gunther Home build.
